Forest Walk with a Monk: Art of Mindful Living
A slow walk through the forest with nowhere to rush to — bamboo bridges, a mountain stream, and long pauses to just be where you are. I lead it myself, the same slow way I used to walk it as a monk.
I'm Kida — I take friends exploring, read birth charts, and collect stories from the people I meet along the way.
I take friends exploring myself — forests, nature, hidden communities with something wonderful tucked inside — read Western birth charts for anyone curious, and keep a notebook that people who pass through leave a piece of themselves in. This site is where those three things live together.
Growing up among trees, canals, and a simple way of life bonded me to these surroundings without me even realizing it — and made me notice, more and more clearly, how everything slowly changes with time.
That bond became the inspiration to start organizing local-style trips, bringing friends and travelers to experience nature, community life, and small corners of Bangkok many people may never have known existed.
"I'm happy every time I see my friends' smiles and hear them laugh, seeing places they never thought could still exist... Nature this abundant might not stay with us forever — I just want everyone to see it with their own eyes, before these scenes become nothing but memories."
I split my time between Bangkok and Chiang Mai. I grew up exploring the trails and hidden corners around Chiang Mai, and for a while I lived as a monk at Wat Phalad — that's actually where the slow, present way I lead trips today comes from.
I've been reading birth charts for friends for years. It started with a question about my own life — do the stars really shape us, and why? Years of self-study and real cases later, that's still how I read a chart: the stars shape you, but they never lock you in. Don't lose your freedom as a human being — live freely, and keep creating. These days I get invited to give astrology talks at events fairly often too. But the biggest thing I ever learned came from running a small homestay years ago. Even though the income was never much, watching a stranger's face light up with that feeling of "wait, a place like this actually exists?" — that's when I understood what I actually wanted to spend my life doing: not building things that would eventually fall apart, but making someone feel something. That feeling never disappears.
Real places, small groups, and the same land that raised me — forests, nature, hidden corners — book a spot straight with me, no middleman.

A slow walk through the forest with nowhere to rush to — bamboo bridges, a mountain stream, and long pauses to just be where you are. I lead it myself, the same slow way I used to walk it as a monk.
A trek to Pha Dok Siew alongside guides who've walked this trail their whole lives, ending with a swim under Mae Ya waterfall — cold water, tired legs, and usually someone laughing about it after.
An evening slipping out of the city by boat — a 200-year-old canal house, a quiet meditation with a monk, and a firefly garden that looks like it shouldn't be real, thousands of them lighting up the dark.
Some groups already know exactly what they want to see. Maybe it's 10 friends with 10 days and a list of provinces they've always wanted to explore. Tell me where, for how long, and who's coming, and I'll build a trip around it from scratch — the same way I plan my own: real places, real people, nothing off a shelf.

It started with a question I had about my own life: do the stars really shape us, and why? That question sent me into years of self-study — old texts, plus notes I kept from real cases and my own experience — until I found my own way of reading a chart. Send me your birth date, time, and place, and we'll go through what your chart says about parts of yourself you might not know yet. Let's get to know you better, together — through conversation, you and me, and your birth chart.
The stars influence every life on this earth — but we still have the freedom to create, and to savor whatever experience is waiting to surprise us. That's the core of how I read a chart: without superstition, and without ever letting it close off how creative a life can still be.
Drag the outer sign ring so a sign lines up with House 1 (the Ascendant), then see which sign each house falls into.
Somewhere in my house is a notebook, worn soft at the edges, filled with handwriting from every corner of the world.
For about two years, I worked as a homestay host. The money was never much — but it was some of the happiest my heart has ever felt.
I got to take friends from all over the world to see Thailand from angles most people never talk about — strange little places, food they'd never tried, ordinary afternoons just spent together.
Every time I saw someone smile, heard them laugh, or caught that look of surprise in their eyes, I felt like what I was doing actually mattered.
And somewhere in those years, one thought kept coming back to me: if I died today, or tomorrow, and I hadn't built anything the world could point to — what would be left of my life?
But then I realized something else. Maybe I already had built something.
Every friend who ever met me.
Everyone who ever laughed with me.
Everyone who ever went exploring the world with me.
And everyone who ever felt something, just from knowing me.
They're the proof that I existed — that I once made someone, somewhere, feel something.
So I started the Friendship Book. I asked friends from around the world to write down how they felt — how they remembered me, and what it meant to them, the time we knew each other.
Because everything we own decays with time. But memory turns into feeling — and a feeling we once gave someone might keep traveling on, inside them.
If I ever really do leave this world one day, I want to have this notebook with me. To open it and show God, and tell him:
"This is my life. I did one thing, at least.
I made people feel good.
I made someone laugh.
I made someone feel the world was worth going out to discover.
And I meant something, to someone."
This is that notebook now — open to anyone who finds it.
Not everything fits neatly into a trip or a reading — here's some of the rest. The newest stuff usually shows up on Instagram first.
I get invited to speak about astrology at events fairly often these days — always happy to nerd out over a birth chart with a room full of strangers.
A cycling trip around Singapore that somehow earned that nickname from the people on it. I'm not arguing with it.
Sometimes the forest walk turns into a longer conversation about presence and letting go — drawing on the time I spent living as a monk at Wat Phalad.

Want to explore somewhere together? Want a birth chart reading? Or just want to say hi? Say hello however's easiest for you — I read all of it myself.
